Hi! I’m Stephanie, and I’m on a mission to create a less wasteful and more resourceful built world. 🌎

I’m currently the Senior Deconstruction & Circular Economy Program Manager at the City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation.

My work bridges disciplines.

I lead the administration of a groundbreaking deconstruction ordinance in San Antonio, the 7th largest U.S. city, focused on recovering building materials for reuse. This program is intentionally multifaceted to advance the the city’s climate, public health, affordable housing, cultural heritage, and workforce development goals.

Additionally, I cultivate strategic partnerships in material recovery and reuse, resulting in the launch of the Material Innovation Center at Port San Antonio, a research alliance with UT-San Antonio, and the integration of deconstruction training into city workforce programs. am also the co-founder of Circular San Antonio, a 2023 J.M.K. Innovation Prize winner, and a 2025 Forward Award recipient from my beloved alma mater.

I love forging interdisciplinary, silo-busting partnerships that help build local, equitable, and inclusive reuse ecosystems. (After all, the landfill doesn’t deserve reusable materials — our communities do!)
